About

What is OmeFree?

OmeFree is a random video chat website. You click "Start", allow your camera and mic, and you're connected face to face with a stranger, somewhere in the world.

No account to create. No email to give. No profile. You open the site and you chat.

How it works

  • You click "Start" → your browser asks for camera and mic access
  • The server puts you in a queue and connects you with another available user
  • Video goes directly between you and the other person via WebRTC (peer-to-peer) — it doesn't pass through our servers
  • You can also send text messages during the conversation
  • At any time, you can click "Next" to change partners, or "Leave" to return home

Interests

Before starting a chat, you can add up to 5 interests (e.g. music, gaming, sports…). The server will first try to match you with someone who shares a common interest. If no one matches, you'll be connected to the first available user.

What you can do during a chat

Turn off camera
Disable your video while staying connected.
Mute microphone
Mute your audio without leaving the conversation.
Switch camera
Switch between front and rear camera (on mobile).
Next
Skip to the next partner instantly.

Compatibility

OmeFree works directly in the browser, on desktop and mobile. Nothing to install. You need a browser that supports WebRTC (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

On mobile, the interface is adapted: messages appear as an overlay on the video, and your own camera shows in a small draggable frame.

100% free

OmeFree is completely free. No subscription, no premium version, no paid features. Everything is accessible to everyone, no exceptions.
