Omegle Alternatives With a Gender Filter: Which Are Free, Which Are Paid
On the original Omegle, you got whoever was next. Many alternatives let you choose, usually for a price. This page lists which services offer a gender choice, how each one presents it, what is free and what is paid, and what a filter can and cannot promise. Checked on the services' own websites on October 5 and 6, 2026.
We did not test these services. Prices are mostly shown only inside the apps, so we list prices only where a site states them, and otherwise say where to look.
What a gender filter actually does
A gender filter limits your matches to people who say they are a certain gender. On most random chat sites that is self-reported: you pick your own gender at the start and so does everyone else, and the site does not check. Camloo says this openly in its FAQ: it asks for your gender because its users generally want to meet the opposite sex, and it keeps your setting hidden from other users. Two consequences follow:
- A filter improves your odds. It does not guarantee who you meet.
- Using one shrinks your pool, so you may wait longer for a match.

Where the table says a tier exists but gives no price, the price is inside the app or the purchase screen. We would rather leave it blank than repeat a number we cannot source.
Four of these services share the same terms
The terms of service of Shagle, Chatrandom, Camsurf and Chatspin are nearly identical: 95 to 99 percent of the eight-word sequences match. They describe one system for all four: tokens, virtual gifts and subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel, with purchases final and non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. If you cancel a subscription bought through an app store, you do it in that store. Because the same rules sit behind several of the filters in the table, it is worth reading the purchase screen once and applying what you learn to all of them.
Filters are one product, verified-women services another
A second group of services is built around matching men with women, and is paid by design:
- CooMeet says on its home page that every user can try its Premium features for free during a trial period and receive free chat minutes after registering, then decide whether to buy a subscription. It states that it has no bots or fake accounts, which is its own claim.
- LuckyCrush describes random video chats in which users are paired with women. Its home page gives no prices, so check the purchase screen.
These are closer to a paid service than to a random chat, and the price per minute or credit pack is the main thing to compare. They are different from the gender filters above, where you stay in the general pool and pay to narrow it.
Before you pay for a filter
- Try the free tier first. See how many people are online and how long the wait is before you upgrade.
- Find the price before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically, and the terms of the services above say purchases are final.
- Know how to cancel. For store purchases it is in the store's subscription settings, not in the chat app.
- Do not expect a guarantee. Self-reported gender can be wrong, and a paid filter does not remove bad behaviour.
